I have to take my 13 year old there . I was surprised staff force my child to walk in alone for the dental treatment in orthodontic clinic. she was nervous and so upset almost crying . I have requested my presence at treatment which they refuse. Only solution is not getting treatment that's what they said. If your child need parents with them think twice. But same time endodontic clinic is very friendly doctors and staff all five stars for them.i have to tick one star to make a comment otherwise i will take that star out too.

My 15 yr old daughter & myself are both patients of OHCWA,my daughter had braces that they assessed and prepared her for and fitted them approx 2 yrs ago,she has regular checks and adjustments done every 4-5 weeks and the braces are doing their job well.

My student works in regular discussions before and after each appt to keep me informed of the progress and is fairly amicable about the appt times,I for the most part have kept my appts and arrive on time and to date,we are on schedule with the long term plan originally laid out.I know that if I chose to use any different student each visit,or used the services of the doctors alone for my treatment, even though it would be somewhat faster,I would not be able to afford the treatment financially at the same rate,

The dental technicians and students who treated me were great-the reception staff not so much. I was spoken down to and treated rudely by a receptionist called Kash, who seemed annoyed with me even being there and directed me to the wrong area of the clinic, which made things more difficult for the dental staff. They were lovely about it, and said that unfortunately the receptionists don’t do their jobs properly. It’s a shame, because there are people who would actually love to have a secure job, and then there are people like this who obviously hate it and take it out on everyone around them. It’s very telling when dental students who are training to be professionals are more better in their conduct than the actual supposed “professionals” who are paid to be there.

I have been with the OHCWA since February 2015, when I was initially assessed for significant work needed for several deep root canal therapies due to an infection in my jaw as a result of an ill fitting partial denture that was well overdue to be upgraded.I was given an action plan with an estimated time frame for this work to be carried out,I agreed after much discussion,so I well understood that if I should choose to be worked on by final year students under the careful supervision of the Doctors, that financially, it would help me considerably in reducing costs. I have to admit initially I was a little hesitant, but once I had my student and work had begun, I was somewhat relieved and continued with my steady pace of appts every 1-2 weeks to slowly but gradually

-make -a - dent- so to speak in some of the work that needed doing. I'm so used to using public transport to travel the 2HRS required each appt and arriving, checking in at the reception and barely arriving in the immediate area of the clinic and my student is already walking out to greet me with a smile and in to my chair for the usual 2-3hrs whilst they methodically and effectively attend to another stage towards remedying my teeth..
